MediaTek Dimensity 7050
MediaTek just unveiled a new upper mid-range chipset called the Dimensity 7050.
Building on their popular Dimensity 700, the upgraded 7050 looks promising for affordable 5G smartphones that still need zip. It packs an octa-core CPU with two Arm Cortex-A78 cores and six little A55 cores clocked up to 2.6GHz.
The Dimensity 7050 also sports a nine core Mali G68 MC4 GPU for enhanced gaming. Plus there’s LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for snappy performance. Not too shabby!
While certainly not a flagship-tier, the 7050’s specs should provide a solid blend of speed and efficiency for cheaper 5G smartphones. And integrated 5G modem means fast connectivity on the go.
