Our Overview Rating8 / 10
Built on a 12nm process from TSMC, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super is a graphics card utilizing the company’s Turing architecture that launched in October 2019. This GPU packs 6.6 billion transistors onto the die and is equipped with 1408 CUDA processing cores. It comes with 6GB of GDDR6 video memory that has a bandwidth of 336GB/s, supplementing the 1536KB L2 cache onboard.
With a 125-watt TDP, the 1660 Super delivers up to 5.027 TFLOPS of peak theoretical floating point performance. Situated between lower-end basic Turing cards and high-end RTX models, the 1660 Super brings solid 1080p performance in modern games with optimized settings.
Support for DirectX 12, Vulkan, and new shader models comes thanks to the Turing design. While optimized for price-conscious gamers not requiring cutting-edge features, the 1660 Super provides smooth 60+ fps gameplay, great efficiency, and capable 1080p gaming power in a modern package.
