The Fairphone 4 is a direct successor to the Fairphone 3. The model comes equipped with 6.3-inch screen display, offering a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The use of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 ensures durability and protection.

Out of the box, the model runs on Android 11 and comes with a planned upgrade to Android 12. Under the hood, the Fairphone 4 is powered by the Qualcomm SM7225 Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset, built on the 8nm process. Its octa-core CPU consists of two Kryo 570 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six Kryo 570 cores running at 1.8 GHz. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 619 GPU.

The device offers flexible storage options, including 128GB of internal storage paired with 6GB of RAM, or a more capacious 256GB of storage coupled with 8GB of RAM. Plus, it supports microSDXC cards for expandable storage as needed.

The Fairphone 4 features a capable dual-camera setup on the rear, with a 48 MP wide primary lens, featuring an f/1.6 aperture for excellent low-light performance. It also sports a 48 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, providing versatility in photography. The camera setup includes a TOF 3D depth sensor for enhanced imaging. Additional features include dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, and panorama. Video recording is a breeze, with support for 4K at 30fps and smooth 1080p at 30/60fps, complemented by gyro-EIS for stabilization. For selfies, there’s a 25 MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture, capable of recording video at 1080p at 30fps with gyro-EIS.

The device is powered by a removable Li-Ion 3905 mAh battery. Fairphone’s dedication to sustainability extends to its battery design, ensuring that it can be easily replaced when necessary, minimizing electronic waste. It supports 20W wired charging, allowing you to reach 50% charge in just 30 minutes, as advertised.
