Tecno Ai Ella – At the 2024 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Tecno unveiled an exciting lineup of AI-powered products, from smartphones to laptops and even a robot dog. However, one announcement stood out – the upcoming Tecno Ai Ella assistant and other AI capabilities coming soon to Tecno devices.
Ella will be Tecno’s own intelligent voice assistant, promising features like scheduling meetings and delivering news briefings. While those are fairly standard digital assistant functions, Ella’s ability to generate images could be a game-changer.
Tecno states that Ella will be able to create portrait images upon request using generative AI technology. This could allow users to obtain unique AI-generated profile pictures and other images. The company also revealed an AI photo enhancement engine for existing images.

Additionally, Tecno touted the engine’s ability to adapt enhanced photos to different global regions like Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and America based on local preferences. Last year, Tecno launched an “intelligent” photo facial lighting feature, so tailoring visuals by region aligns with their strategy.
Other upcoming AI abilities aim to make content more accessible. Call Translation and Social Media Translation will break language barriers, providing real-time translations during calls and presumably in messaging apps. Auto-generated video subtitles reinforce that commitment to accessibility.

On the editing front, Tecno phone cameras will gain intelligent features like erasing unwanted people and objects from photos. Cutout and sticker creation abilities were also teased, allowing users to isolate subjects or elements in existing shots as overlays. An AI-powered image search engine in the gallery app rounds out the improvements.
While launch timelines weren’t concrete, Tecno’s suite of AI enhancements could start rolling out to devices as early as this summer. From Ella’s generative images to the translation services and intuitive editing features, Tecno is poised to deliver some of the same AI conveniences Samsung and other brands offer.
If Tecno can combine these promising AI functions with their budget-friendly devices, they may have a winning formula to convert more cost-conscious consumers in global markets. The upgrades reinforce their commitment to putting advanced innovations within reach across regions.
