Lava released the Lava Agni 2 5G, the company’s second smartphone in the Agni series, as the successor to the Agni 5G, which debuted in 2021. The Agni 2 5G features numerous enhancements in practically every aspect, and it is also reasonably priced. On paper, the specifications look fantastic, but is it worth purchasing? To begin with, the Agni 2 5G sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED curved display with a pixel resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of around 388 PPI. The display is brilliant and supports HDR. Outdoor visibility is also strong, thanks to the 950 nits peak brightness. There is a software issue, so the display in auto brightness setting gets too high or too low at random, which has to be rectified.

The phone Lava Agni 2 5G sports a 120Hz refresh rate display, as opposed to the Agni 5G’s 90Hz. The fast refresh rate is noticeable, especially while browsing through the UI and gameplay. It also supports HDR 10+, which works on YouTube but not on Netflix.

There are various color adjustment choices available under the display options. There is also a night light option, which allows you to minimize the display’s blue light emission to avoid eye strain while reading at night. The lock screen has a Dark mode and an always-on display option, however there is not much flexibility. It does not support MEMC or DC dimming. Schott Xensation glass protects the phone.

The Lava Agni 2 5G has a tiny center punch-hole that holds a 16-megapixel camera, which does not interfere with video playback because it takes up so little space. The top edge of the display has an earpiece, however it does not function as a secondary speaker.
