Samsung Electronics designed and manufactured the Samsung Galaxy A72, a mid-range Android smartphone. The phone, which will be introduced with the Galaxy A52 during Samsung’s virtual Awesome Unpacked event on March 17, 2021, will be the Galaxy A71’s replacement.

The Galaxy A72 retains all of the characteristics of its predecessor, but adds an enhanced 5,000 mAh battery, IP67 water and dust resistance, and an 8 MP telephoto camera.

The design of the Galaxy A72 is similar to that of its predecessor. Like the Galaxy A71, it boasts an Infinity-O display with a cutout for the front-facing camera. The device, however, comes in matte colour options rather than the glossy gradient finishes found on the Galaxy A71.

It comes in Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Blue colours. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display, while the frame and back panel are composed of plastic. It is water and dust resistant to IP67 standards.
