The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G (also known as the Samsung Galaxy Flip 3 in some areas) is a foldable smartphone that is part of the Samsung Galaxy Z series. Samsung Electronics unveiled it alongside the Z Fold 3 on August 11, 2021 at the Samsung Unpacked event. It is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, however it is referred to as the Flip 3 to match the branding of the accompanying Fold model.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G has the same clamshell form as the first Z Flip, with an aluminium frame, and a 6.7-inch display protected by Samsung’s ultra-thin glass that can be folded into a 4.2-inch space. The rear of the phone sports a modest 1.9-inch cover screen, an improvement over the 1.1-inch cover screen on the original Z Flip, which you can use to display the time, date, and battery status, interact with notifications, answer phone calls, and act as a viewfinder.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor powers the phone, which also has 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256 GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G retains the same 3300 mAh dual battery that can charge by USB-C at up to 15 W or wirelessly via Qi at up to 10 W. The power button is incorporated in the frame and serves as both a fingerprint sensor and a way to bring down the notification display and open Samsung Pay, with the volume rocker situated above.

The phone has three cameras: dual rear cameras, a 12MP Wide-angle Camera, a 12MP Ultra Wide Camera, and a 10MP Front Camera.The Z Flip 3 features an IPX8 water resistance rating, which Samsung claims can withstand immersion in 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
