Umidigi A7S – Specs, Price, And Review

The Umidigi A7S appears and feels nicely built (for a cheap handset), however I must admit that the phone is a little clumsy. It feels weighty – heavier than the iTel S16, which competes directly with it – and the edges are significantly thick.

The bezels around the screen are very thick, and for some odd reason, there’s a rubber-like margin around the screen that’s easily scratched. Since acquiring this item, the top edge and bottom right margin have all developed bruises from the smallest of drops.

However, the textured back of the Umidigi A7S looks and feels quite beautiful. It provides the phone a distinct appearance and adds a touch of premium form factor to the overall vibe. Taking everything into account, as previously stated, the A7S is still an overall well-built phone for the price.

The Umidigi A7S was never supposed to be a heavy lifter, as seen by its 1.25GHz processor and 2GB RAM. While it doesn’t perform much heavy lifting, it’s still a fine phone for day-to-day work. I have not experienced any lags or app crashes when using the phone.

The phone comes with stock Android 10, and the UX experience is quite fluid for a phone that now costs $75. The onboard storage is limited to 32GB, but the A7S includes a micro-SD card for storage extension of up to 128GB.
