Xiaomi New Redmi K70E Tops Mid-Range Phone Performance. Xiaomi’s recently launched Redmi K70E smartphone has claimed the top spot for mid-range phone performance according to benchmarking site AnTuTu’s December 2023 rankings.
The Redmi K70E edged out the competition with an AnTuTu benchmark score of 1,413,428. This score beat second place phone, the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, by around 250,000 points.
What makes the Redmi K70E’s performance stand out is its use of MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8300 mobile processor. This chip offers processing power on par with some flagship phone chips, bringing flagship-level speeds to a more affordable mid-range device.
The Dimensity 8300 represents a significant upgrade over other popular mid-range mobile chips like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. Phones with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 consistently dominated AnTuTu’s mid-range rankings over the past several months.
But the Redmi K70E and its Dimensity 8300 chip have shaken up the status quo. As more phones launch with this new MediaTek chip, experts expect strong new challengers to climb up the AnTuTu benchmark rankings in 2023. For now, though, the Redmi K70E wears the mid-range performance crown.
