Vivo Launches Feature-Packed Y100 5G Smartphone in Indonesia

Y100 5G Smartphone in Indonesia. Vivo has expanded its 5G smartphone lineup in Indonesia with the launch of the new Vivo Y100 5G. Packed with powerful specs and features, the device promises an immersive and smooth performance to users.

The Vivo Y100 5G sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for fluid scrolling and visuals. The panel can peak up to 1,200 nits brightness and is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5.

Powering the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset, promising responsive performance whether gaming, streaming, or multitasking. It comes equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y100 5G features a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50MP main sensor. An 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a dedicated macro camera assist it. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8MP front-facing camera.

A big 5,000mAh battery pack complements the photography prowess of the device. It comes with 80W fast charging that can juice up the battery from flat to 62% in just 30 minutes.

On the software front, the handset runs Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. Connectivity options on the device include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and more. The phone also comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick biometric authentication.

Pricing and Availability In Indonesia

The Vivo Y100 5G has been priced competitively at IDR 3,899,000 (US$245) for the 8GB/128GB model and IDR 4,199,000 (US$265) for the 8GB/256GB variant in Indonesia. It will be offered in two color options – Midnight Black and Ice Dawn.

The smartphone is already up for pre-orders in Indonesia via official Vivo channels and will go on sale starting January 30. With a feature-rich spec sheet and 5G connectivity, the Vivo Y100 5G seems like an exciting option in the mid-range smartphone segment in Indonesia. It faces competition from the likes of Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, realme 9i 5G, and Samsung A33 5G in the country.
