Bose Ultra Open Earbuds Launch in US for $299

Bose has launched its unique new Bose Ultra Open Earbuds in the US via Amazon for $299. Designed for spatial audio while retaining situational awareness, the cuff-shaped earbuds mark a radical new direction for Bose.

The key draw of the Ultra Open Earbuds is their ability to enjoy premium sound quality without losing environmental awareness – perfect for urban commuting or nature walks. This is achieved through an open, cuff-like design that sits outside the ear canal rather than sealing it.

Bose has packed the same high-end drivers from its $850 QuietComfort Earbuds into the new model. Support for Bose Immersive Audio promises cinema-like spatial sound at the cost of a halved 4.5-hour battery life.

While the IPX4 water resistance makes them splash-proof, the open design means the Ultra Open Earbuds may not suit workout situations. Connectivity comes via Bluetooth 5.3 with Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive codec for reliable, high-quality streaming.

At launch, Multipoint Bluetooth for simultaneous multi-device connectivity is notably absent. But priced at $299, the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds offer a uniquely designed spatial audio experience for the ears and eyes.

They are on sale now via Amazon US in Black and White color options. Global availability is yet to be announced by Bose. The Ultra Open Earbuds deliver innovative premium sound for US customers seeking awareness-friendly spatial audio on the go.
