Colorful Unveils Colorful Colorfire MEOW R15 Gaming Laptop

Colorful Colorfire MEOW R15. Chinese computer manufacturer Colorful has unveiled its latest gaming laptop, the Colorfire MEOW R15. This new model ushers in several firsts for the company, including using an AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia’s latest RTX 40 series graphics cards.

The MEOW R15 will be offered in two main configurations aimed at mid-range and premium gaming performance levels. Both models feature a 15.6-inch display with high refresh rates for smooth visuals, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of fast SSD storage, and a dual fan cooling system.

Base Model Targets 1080p Gaming

The entry-level option has an AMD Ryzen 7 7735H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics. It has a full HD 1080p screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, ideal for fast-paced competitive gaming. This configuration is priced at 4,999 Chinese yuan (USD 694) for pre-orders, increasing to 5,499 yuan ($764) at launch.

Premium Version Packs QHD Display and RTX 4070 GPU

Gamers seeking more power can opt for the high-end model, which boasts an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS chip and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics. It takes advantage of a 2560 x 1600 QHD panel with a 165Hz refresh rate to enable sharp 2.5K resolutions at high frame rates. This top-tier version is listed at 6,699 yuan ($930) for pre-orders, later rising to 7,499 yuan ($1,041).

Both models offer Upgradeable RAM and Storage

While the base configurations of both MEOW R15 models feature 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSDs, Colorful says they support upgrades to 32GB of memory and 1TB solid-state drives for those wanting maximum performance and capacity.

Additional shared capabilities across the new Colorfire laptops include Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, a 100-watt USB Type-C charger with fast charging, and an RGB backlit keyboard.

International Availability Not Yet Confirmed

Colorful initially sells its hardware within China but has expanded to other regions over time. While global launch plans for the MEOW R15 aren’t detailed yet, previous Colorfire gaming laptops have eventually reached countries like the United States. Discerning gamers worldwide may be able to purchase these new AMD and Nvidia-powered machines later this year if past release schedules are any indication.
