Xiaomi Fingerprint Door Lock. Home security is getting an upgrade, all thanks to Xiaomi’s latest crowdfunding project. The company is developing the Arkfish Smart Room Door Lock S5, which has a fingerprint unlocking right on the door handle.
This smart lock will easily transform normal doors into secured entries because It works with most wooden doors. This is a plus because one can easily replace existing locks in seconds.
The real invention is the fingerprint reader and password pad built right into the handle. All you have to do to gain entry is touch the sensor on the handle to unlock instead of fumbling for keys. You can also use Bluetooth, password entry, or a physical key for versatility.
For shared homes, temporary passcodes can grant access. The lock’s modes can be switched between private and open as needed. MIJIA app integration even allows remote control and smart home linking.
This Xiaomi smart lock is powered by four AA batteries lasting approximately 300 days. The Arkfish lock aims to be convenient and stress-free. It’s currently crowdfunding on Xiaomi’s Youpin platform.
Pricing starts at around $28 for the standard version. But upgrades with enhanced security features and installation options cost up to $35.
