OnePlus 9R Receiving OxygenOS 14 Update. OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 14 update based on Android 14 to OnePlus 9R users in India. Arriving as version 14.0.0.301, it succeeds the initial OxygenOS 14 upgrade that landed earlier in January and brings further optimizations.
The over-the-air update is reaching 9R units incrementally. Those who don’t see the notification yet can check manually in Settings or wait for the broader rollout to complete over the next few days.

According to official OnePlus forums, the OxygenOS 14.0.0.301 update for the OnePlus 9R focuses mainly on improving system stability and camera performance.
The full changelog mentions fixes for increased stability of certain functions to prevent crashes and freezes. Battery life has also been enhanced in select scenarios based on user data analytics.
Additionally, OnePlus has addressed an issue that caused the fingerprint unlock icon to persist on the screen even after successfully authenticating. This should make the unlock experience smoother.
Coming to cameras, the update contains optimized algorithms to bolster the stability of the 9R’s imaging system. This should translate to better consistency across various shooting modes. Low-light photography also gets boosts for brighter and clearer nighttime or indoor photos.

Before the OxygenOS 14 update, OnePlus rolled out firmware version 13.1.0.586 in early February 2023. That upgrade brought the latest February 2023 Android security patch for improved safety against platform vulnerabilities.
It also removed the Background Stream option in the Smart Sidebar due to compliance policies. This allowed the build to continue being certifiable for Google’s requirements.
