ZTE Launches ZTE U50 Pro And ZTE F50 Portable 5G. ZTE has unveiled special edition versions of two 5G devices in China to commemorate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dragon. The commemorative models include the U50 Pro portable WIFI and the F50 portable WiFi hotspot. Both feature customized dragon engravings.

The U50 Pro portable WIFI comes with a 2.4-inch touchscreen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X62 5G chip. Key features:

  • Fast WiFi 6 support up to 3,600Mbps speeds
  • Large 10,000 mAh battery lasts up to 16 hours
  • Can act as a 18W power bank to charge other devices

ZTE F50 Portable 5G WiFi

The ultra-thin F50 portable WiFi is only 10.3mm thick and weighs about 50g. It can connect up to 10 devices to 5G networks with peak 1.6Gbps download speeds. Key features:

  • Plug-and-play connectivity via USB-C
  • Connects to power banks, car chargers etc.
  • Acts as a wireless router and TF card reader
  • Supports WiFi 5 and 2.4G/5G dual-band

Pricing and Availability

The special edition U50 Pro is priced at 1,599 yuan ($226) while the F50 is 499 yuan ($70) in China. The F50 comes with various 5G data packages, priced between 99-699 yuan ($14-$99). Global availability is still unclear.
